Senior Morgan Williams rushed for 136 yards with three touchdowns and the injury-riddled Rocket defense came up big twice inside the red zone as Toledo defeated arch-rival Bowling Green, 28-21, on a windy Saturday afternoon in Doyt Perry Stadium.

The victory kept the Rockets undefeated in Mid-American Conference play at 3-0 and improved UT’s overall record to 4-3. It also gave Toledo possession of the brand-new Battle of I-75 trophy given to the winner of the contest between rival MAC schools located just 25 miles apart. The Falcons are now 1-2 in the MAC and 3-4 overall.

This was a great win on the road for the Rockets. The Rockets now move on to face Miami OH at the Glass Bowl on Saturday in a homecoming contest.
