The Rockets are entering Saturdays game on a high note. Toledo (1-3) notched it’s first win of the season last saturday against Iowa State. It was a dramatic, up and down game that surprisingly came down to special teams, and for the first time in a long time, favored the Midnight Blue and Gold. As for WMU:
Western Michigan manhandled Central Connecticut State in Kalamazoo, 51-14, to claim its first win of the year. The Broncos three losses came at West Virginia (62-24) and Missouri (52-24) and at home to Indiana (37-27).
Toledo needs to keep the adrenaline pumping. If they can do this, Coop predicts a Rocket victory 34-27. Afterall, the Broncos haven’t won at the glassbowl since 1988. GO ROCKETS!

Coming off the win last week, I agree that Toledo will carry momentum into this game. Two special teams scores in the last 5 minutes of the game is a big deal for Toledo and keeping with the Cyclones up to that point means they dealt with the offensive constipation that they experienced versus Kansas.
Hopefully, the O.C. will shy away from the multitude of slant passes that he constantly calls and let us open it up a little. If something isn’t working, try something else – ya know ? If the Rockets can win this game, in my mind, they’ll have turned the season around… I’m not saying they’ll win out or anything, but they’ll have learned and rebounded from loses at the beginning of the season.
