It’s time, once again, for the MAC Blogger Roundtable. Below are the questions, posed by Red and Black Attack (NIU) and our answers. Read through what we had to say and then follow this link back to his post and links to the other MAC blogs.

Alright — here are the questions:
1. Both Ball State and NIU took an early 1900′s approach to offense in winning their games this weekend primarily through the ground game. This brings the question: Are you satisfied with the balance of your offense currently? Would you like to see more passing or more rushing?
We both agree that we’d like to see more rushing from the Rockets. It seems like as soon as the team trails on the scoreboard, we abandon the running game and air it out. A more of a balanced offense would be beneficial to us, especially if we’re forced to stay with the 3rd string QB, Pettee. The air attack works best if you can keep the defense honest. We have the skill in the backfield to get great results, so why not use it more often?
2. The two best teams in the MAC in Central Michigan & Temple take on non-conf opponents in Boston College and Navy respectively. What positives or negatives come from playing OOC opponents this late in to the season?
For CMU, a win against Boston College would push them into the Top 25. It would definitely be good for the MAC to have a representative ranked nationally. Unfortunately, CMU risks sustaining injuries to key players facing an undoubtedly bigger team than they’re used to facing with MAC opponents. An injury to LeFevour and CMU suffers a huge set back for the rest of the year. A Temple victory might garner them some short-lived attention, for the rest of that week, but it’d take more than just Navy to get Temple ranked.
3. For fun, predict the outcome of the impending doom the 0-7 Eastern Michigan Eagles face as they travel to Arkansas this weekend.
The MAC doesn’t match up with the SEC, at any position really. Send in one of the bottom feeder teams from the MAC and they’re asking for a whoopin’. Arkansas is having a tough season, but they lost at #1 Florida 23-20. They will destroy EMU.
4. If your team/coach were to wear Halloween costume, what would they be?
By our best approximation, Dr. Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde would be the most befitting Halloween costume for our team/coach this season. Some nights, we run out of the tunnel and there’s no stopping us. Other nights, we’d be better off if we stayed on the bus. This hit and miss style is really frustrating to the team, the coaches, and the fans (of course) The offense is especially spotty in their efficiency and production, and it’s not for a lack of talent. Sure, some of the issues stem from injuries and losing your top two QBs certainly doesn’t help an offense, but the problems are bigger than that. Some Saturday nights this season, you’re not really sure which Toledo Rocket team you’ll get to see.
5. MAC Power Poll Time
1. Central Michigan – Unblemished
2. Temple – Better than expected
3. Ohio – Best season in years
4. Toledo – Bring back the 1st or 2nd string QB already
5. NIU – Held on to beat the bottom
6. WMU – Had to go to OT to beat Buffalo
7. Kent State – Gaining ground in the East
8. Bowling Green – Played decent against CMU
9. Buffalo – too many injuries all around
10. Akron – Still winless against FBS opponents
11. Ball State – First win of season against…
12. EMU – Winless
13. Miami (OH) – Speaks for itself
