One smart move by UT:

Reminiscent of the Cash for Clunkers program, Rocket fans can get a brand new, midnight blue and gold “Rocket Fridays” or UT t-shirt on Monday, Sept. 14 from 6 to 7 p.m. outside the Student Union during the Rocket Coaches Show by turning in an item of Ohio State clothing.

“We hope to accomplish a couple of things with this promotion,” said Matt Lockwood, UT’s director of licensing. “First, our fans get a sharp, new t-shirt to wear to the game and around town showing their support for the Rockets. Secondly, it gets some OSU gear off of campus.”

This is a great opportunity for fans to get some new gear and show their UT pride. We urge everyone to take advantage of this exchange program and get some Midnight Blue and Gold garb to wear to the game.

  1. GENIUS!!! Every Ohio MAC school should do this.

    • We’re with you on that – every MAC school in Ohio should offer an exchange program to help get their fans in the right gear for games. It would help with the game day atmosphere and send the right message to the students/fans/athletes.

  2. I can’t agree more. The whole conference should be doing stuff like this.

  3. This is a great idea. As a graduate from UT, it was mind blowing how much scarlet an gray was wore on campus on game day! Go Rockets beat Colorado!
