I had Cadet since he was a ninth grader and made him move to quaterback. As far as him being able to fill Edwards shoes that wont be his focal point going into the season because Cadet has a different type of talent then Edwards, but I'll let you guys see that for yourself and you will know what type of player you let slip through your hands. He should not have signed there from the get go but he definetly learned from his mistakes.

Those highlights are sick --- good to see Cadet get in on a few of those.

A couple of the shots showed the crowd close to where I was sitting (home side around the 10 yrd line, close to the new tunnel)

Couldn't agree more - I think Satterfield is just gaining some experience and exposure before he comes back to Boone to lead the Mountaineers when Moore hangs it up. I know the App fans that I've spoken to at games are completely behind S.S. and will def. support him as Moore's successor.

I stood near Satterfield on the field in Chattanooga after the 2007 championship game when everyone crowded in the endzone to see the National Championship trophy and congratulate the team. Didn't imagine that a few short years later, he'd be putting that same kind of potent high-powered offense on the field in Toledo.

If the coaching staff can get the athletes to support that type of offense, I think it can really shake things up in the MAC. From cheering through countless Black Saturday games, I can attest to the fact that a solid QB, who can scramble and throw, makes a game very exciting. If we stick with this style offense and get a mobile QB, the rest of the conference better watch out.

Obviously, App will need to find someone to fill in for Edwards after this season. If Cadet is called on to fill that spot, from the little I've seen so far, I don't think the offense drop-off will be as stark as everyone fears. There aren't many athletes like Edwards, everyone would agree, but if Cadet can absorb as much from Edwards as he can, in the time they have left together, and can get some quality playing time down the stretch this season, I think he can step in and run the offense well next year. I look forward to seeing him playing next season in Boone.

Yes, you are right--You are VERY LUCKY to have Satterfield. (We like having Cadet at ASU too. He can be a special player in our offense). My only hope is Satterfield went to Toledo so he can return to ASU as HC when Jerry Moore retires in the near future.
